Robert: When I was looking at the book and I thought it was impossible to play the character, I did the screen test with Kristen and I just really didn't expect the girl who was playing Bella to be like that at all. Catherine Hardwicke now this is the most interesting one. Firstly she was very vocal in recalling how when Kristen and Robert auditioned together, the scene was the one of the bed and that they both got really into it so much, Robert fell off the bed. Now this was spoken about during comic con, much to the embarrassment of Rob and Kristen. Then later she explained how when filming that very same scene for the movie, the chemistry was incredibly intense and the shot was very hot, wishing she had used a lipstick camera because for what it was worth she definitely could see tongue action

He doesn't like talking about it because he thinks people are going to say he's trying jumpstart his music career and capitalize on the success of Twilight. KRISTEN STEWART: The Beatles are a band I've grown up with, grown out of and grown back into a million times. It'd be weird to say anything besides the Beatles. However, we all became entirely obsessed with Van Morrison on this film. Rob [Pattinson] will take credit for that, and he'll resent all of us for taking that from him. [Laughs] However, we were obsessed — really obsessed. We saw [his live performance of] Astral Weeks at the Hollywood Bowl, and it was baffling. It was truly amazing. Van Morrison screams sometimes, and the way he emits is hard to describe. I liken it to when I find a script that I like. I can't describe what I like about it. It says something to me. It stirs me up, and that's what this music does.
ROBERT PATTINSON: On set, I turned everyone onto Van Morrison. They all recently went to see him, pretending that they knew about him before me. I said, "You don't know what you're talking about!" I was going to the show already, and they were like, "We're all going as well." Copycats! [Laughs]

What is your biggest fear?
Kristen: I'm afraid of pain, that people will think I'm stupid, to feel alone even with a husband and five children: the same fears everyone has. I am young and full of insecurities ("Welcome to the club", commented a laughing Pattinson).

Kristen: I'm just 18-years-old but I've never gone out with someone or been interested in anybody I ever thought was attractive when I first looked at them, not ever. It happens like a second later. Also, if they're not looking at me, I'm like 'pshh (who needs 'um?)'. When somebody looks at you a certain way, it's indescribable, especially if you're both doing it at the same time. The secret to Twi's incredible popularity is in the casting. Kristen Stewart, 18, shines as Bella, and Pattinson is disarming as the mysterious and irresistible Edward. I thought Robert, in particular, looked like he was going to pass out from fear. Did you give him any words of advice in dealing with fans?
(Laughs) Actually, both he and Kristen have come up to me and asked, ‘How do you not freak out? What do you do?’ And they’re all sweating (laughs again). I tell them, ‘I don’t know. I mean, this is fun!’ But they’re all disappointed, like ‘Oh, OK.’ They’re funny.
The “Twilight” boys seem to be getting most of the attention so far in the media. Can you tell us more about what Kristen is like?
The only people that were there when I was on set were Kristen and Rob, and he wasn’t there too much. So it was basically just me and Kristen. She’s very easygoing. It takes her a little bit to warm up to people. She’s a little shy and reserved. Her and Rob both are. But she was very fun to be around

Robert Pattinson has revealed that the secret to onscreen chemistry involves surprising your co-star in the nude.
The Twilight star - whose blood-sucking role in the flick has catapulted into the A-list - jokes that in order to sizzle in front of the camera, he treated Kristen Stewart to a little naked ambition off set.
